Baseball players in this list are collectively making half a billion dollars.

Boxing, golf and tennis surprisingly dominate the ranking however, if we consider the average pay per athlete. Although boxing can probably be explained by the stellar earnings of Floyd Mayweather.

More than half (60%) of the 100 highest paid athletes are from the US. Dominican Republic and Spain come second, with "only" 4 sportsmen representing them.
